Egypt
A Nation Striving for Stability and Opportunity
Egypt is navigating a complex humanitarian landscape marked by economic hardship and a significant influx of displaced populations. As of early 2025, Egypt hosts over 890,000 registered refugees and asylum-seekers, the highest number in its history. This includes more than 672,000 Sudanese and over 147,000 Syrians, with the recent Sudanese conflict alone prompting 338,374 individuals to seek refuge in Egypt. The nation's economy faces mounting pressures, with over 30% of Egyptians living below the poverty line and youth unemployment around 25%. Rural communities, in particular, struggle with outdated agricultural practices and limited access to education and vocational training, perpetuating cycles of poverty and instability.
Our Response
Our team is currently in Egypt, providing:
- Education support
- Sustainable agriculture projects
- Vocational training
We are working hand-in-hand with local communities in Egypt to promote long-term development and resilience. Our sustainable agriculture projects empower farmers with training in modern, efficient farming techniques and provide resources to increase food production, conserve water, and improve livelihoods. Through education initiatives, we support students and orphans with school supplies, teacher training, and safe learning environments, opening doors to brighter futures. Our vocational training programs equip young adults with practical skills, giving them the tools to build sustainable careers and uplift their communities. Together, these efforts are helping Egyptian families break the cycle of poverty and build a future full of hope and opportunity.
