In the shadow of conflict, hope can still take root.
Since October 2023, Lebanon has been engulfed in a devastating war, leading to one of the most severe humanitarian crises in its recent history. Over 3,500 people have lost their lives, and more than 15,000 have been injured. The conflict has forced approximately 1.2 million individuals to flee their homes, with many seeking refuge in overcrowded shelters or makeshift accommodations.
The healthcare system has been particularly hard-hit. Attacks on medical facilities have resulted in the deaths of 72 healthcare workers and injuries to 43 others. Approximately 10% of hospitals have ceased operations or are only partially functioning, severely limiting access to essential medical services.
For Lebanon’s elderly and most vulnerable, the situation is dire. Many are trapped in remote villages, unable to access pharmacies or hospitals. In response, our team has stepped in to provide critical support. Over the last 6 months after opening our own medical clinic, we have been serving those most in need.
Partnering with local leaders and churches, TBP has identified and assisted elderly and vulnerable individuals who could not be relocated. We have distributed essential medications and organized doctor visits, focusing on those suffering from chronic conditions like heart disease and diabetes.
Each visit and delivery is more than just medical aid—it’s a lifeline. It’s a reminder that they are not forgotten. That someone sees them. That someone cares.
In a time of deep sorrow, we are witnessing small miracles: an old man receiving heart medication that keeps him alive; a diabetic woman finally getting the care she needs; a doctor kneeling next to a patient, offering not just treatment, but dignity.
This is what it means to bless. This is what it means to show up when it matters most.
Thank you for standing with us—and with them.
We couldn’t do this work without you.
