In many rural regions of Kenya, families face food shortages and economic instability. Farmers often struggle with low yields, lacking access to quality seeds, fertilizers, and training. This makes it difficult to provide for their households and build stable communities.
In August 2025, our team on the ground launched an agricultural initiative to change that story. Together with local partners, we trained 80 community farmers in more sustainable farming practices, teaching them how to care for their land, improve soil health, and increase productivity.
Alongside this training, farmers received 280 kilograms of hybrid maize seeds and 16 bags of fertilizer. These resources gave them the opportunity to put their new knowledge into practice and expect a stronger harvest.
The results are already taking root. This investment is projected to produce over 256 bags of maize, roughly six and a half tons valued at more than 800,000 Kenyan shillings. For these families, that means food on the table, income to support their children, and a community that is more resilient against hardship.
What begins with one seed grows into a harvest that sustains many. By equipping farmers, we are not only providing food but also planting hope and strengthening futures.
Because of your support, the ripple effect of this project will be felt across families and generations in rural Kenya. Together, we are cultivating change that lasts.
