When ISIS invaded villages in Iraq, countless Christian families faced unimaginable loss. Homes were destroyed, communities scattered, and lives uprooted overnight. Many were forced to flee for safety, seeking refuge in neighboring countries like Jordan.
Jordan, though a safe haven, presents significant obstacles for refugees. Many displaced families struggle with limited access to healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. Government resources are stretched, and international aid is often prioritized for larger refugee populations, leaving smaller groups, like Iraqi Christians, without consistent support. For these families, even basic necessities like medicine can become a daily struggle.
Recognizing this urgent need, The Blessing Projects team in Amman stepped in to provide critical assistance to 75 families. By providing medication to these families, our team ensured that they could access the treatments they desperately needed. From chronic illnesses to urgent prescriptions, every medicine provided was a lifeline to health, dignity, and hope.
Our efforts are carried out in close collaboration with the Syriac Orthodox Church in Amman, whose deep roots in the community help us reach families who would otherwise remain unsupported. Through this partnership, we are not only meeting immediate medical needs but also fostering a sense of community and spiritual encouragement. For these Iraqi families, each act of care reminds them that they are not forgotten, that their hope and faith can endure even in the midst of uncertainty.
Though the path ahead remains difficult, The Blessing Projects remains committed to standing with these families. By providing medical support, emotional care, and a steady presence, we aim to give them the strength to rebuild their lives, sustain their faith, and look forward to a future where stability and joy are possible once more.
