August 2025: Updates From The Field

Throughout August, our teams on the ground continued to stand alongside Christian communities in some of the world’s hardest places. From rebuilding sacred spaces in Lebanon, to equipping farmers in Kenya, to feeding families in Syria, and empowering women in Nigeria, each project reflects your prayers and partnership at work. Together, we are helping families move from survival toward stability, dignity, and hope.

Here are the highlights from August!

LEBANON

Reconstruction of the Latin Church:

Amid the devastation of war in South Lebanon, the Latin Church, once the spiritual home for more than three Christian villages, was extremely damaged. Its loss left thousands without a place to gather, worship, and find strength together.

Our team worked tirelessly to reconstruct the church, restoring not only a building but also hope for an entire community. After reopening in August, more than 1,500 Christians in the area are grateful to once again have a house of prayer and fellowship. In a region scarred by destruction, this project is a testament to resilience.

New Chicken Farm:

In South Lebanon, our new chicken farm is raising 250 chickens as the first step in a larger project to support struggling Christian families. Soon, these efforts will expand into a mini market, selling food and goods at zero profit to provide relief for the poor.

This project will create around 15 local job opportunities and make affordable goods available to more than 700 Christians each month. What began with a small farm is becoming a sustainable way to meet daily needs, strengthen families, and bring hope to an entire community.

Phase One of a New Agriculture Project:

The first phase of our new agriculture project in South Lebanon is already transforming lives. More than 15 Christian farmers are receiving support to cultivate roughly 3 acres of land. We tilled the land, reconstructed a large pre-existing well, and established a water system with four large tanks to sustain their crops.

This initiative is not only creating job opportunities but also launching a small business that will benefit around 100 vulnerable Christians. By providing sustainable resources and economic stability, the project ensures these families can recover from the devastation of war and enjoy at least 3–4 years of safe, reliable income.

KENYA

Training and Equipping Farmers:

Our team supported 80 local farmers with seeds, fertilizer, and practical training on sustainable and efficient farming techniques, equipping them with knowledge to improve productivity for years to come.

This project empowers these farmers with the tools to be successful cultivators and strengthens their communities by improving food security and creating a path toward long-term economic stability.

From Chicks to Sustainable Income:

We met with 54 members of local self-help groups, providing them with both training and resources to promote self-reliance through poultry farming. Each group received ten one-month-old chicks, along with practical instruction in care, feeding, and market management.

This initiative equips participants to start small-scale poultry farms that can grow into sustainable sources of income. By December, the chicks are expected to mature and be ready for sale, giving families new opportunities to improve their living standards and access better education and healthcare.

NIGERIA

Equipping 100 Women to Teach and Lead:

The 100 vulnerable women we are sponsoring in Nigeria started their journey toward earning the Nigerian Certificate in Education. Today, that vision is becoming reality as they begin their one-year program at the National Teachers Institute, Miango Study Centre.

These women come from communities often neglected by the government, where opportunities for advancement are scarce. Yet today, they step forward with hope, dignity, and purpose, equipped to build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

SYRIA

New Kitchen Project:

Each week on the Syrian coast, more than 150 families, around 700 Christians, are receiving meals through our new community kitchen. Over the next six months, this will provide nourishment and stability to more than 3,000 people.

In a region still reeling from war and economic collapse, this kitchen is more than food on the table. It is relief for weary families, stability for entire communities, and a tangible reminder that God has not abandoned His people in Syria.

More Relief After Tragedy in Damascus:

Our team in central Syria gathered more than 200 Christians living in shelters in Damascus for a special cooking and feast night. In the wake of the recent church massacre, this provided not only a warm meal but also comfort, fellowship, and a sense of hope in a time of grief.

This evening opened doors for our team to grow closer to local families and churches, building trust as we continue to stand alongside Christians in Syria. In a place where so few are offering help, our presence and commitment remind them they are not forgotten.

Thank you for walking with us as we serve the persecuted and displaced. Every church restored, every meal shared, and every seed sown is a reminder that God is faithful and His people are not forgotten.
