South Sudan
A Nation Battling Instability and Food Insecurity
South Sudan remains one of the world’s most fragile nations, struggling with ongoing conflict, political instability, and the effects of severe flooding and food insecurity. Over 2 million people are internally displaced, and more than 7 million face acute hunger. Decades of war have destroyed infrastructure, schools, and healthcare systems, leaving communities with limited access to basic services. Christian and other minority populations are particularly vulnerable, facing threats from armed groups, disrupted livelihoods, and limited opportunities for recovery and development.
2025 Initiatives
- Large-Scale Farm Project (May 2025–Present): In May 2025, our team secured a large plot of suitable farm land to establish a large-scale farm aimed at supporting communities facing severe hunger and food insecurity. The project began with extensive land clearing, carried out by a dedicated team of volunteers using heavy machinery to prepare the fields for cultivation. This initiative will provide a sustainable source of food for thousands of people in surrounding areas, offering hope to families struggling to access adequate nutrition. Future phases of the project include planting staple crops, introducing modern farming techniques, and creating a model for long-term agricultural development, with the goal of feeding entire communities and strengthening local livelihoods.
