Syria

A Country Devastated by War

Syria remains in the grips of a devastating civil war that has caused immense suffering for its people. Over 6.9 million Syrians have been displaced internally, with 5.6 million seeking refuge in neighboring countries. More than 13 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance, including 6.5 million children who have faced disruptions to their education and basic services. The conflict has also left over 60% of the population living in poverty, with food insecurity affecting nearly 12 million individuals. Christians in Syria have also faced targeted persecution, with a sharp decline in the Christian population from 1.5 million in 2011 to under 500,000 today due to violence and forced displacement.

Our Response

Our team is currently in Syria, providing:

  • Emergency aid
  • Education
  • Healthcare services
  • Infrastructure development
  • Support for orphanages
  • Sustainable agriculture projects
  • Small business development initiatives
  • Vocational training

We are working in Syria to provide both urgent relief and sustainable support for communities affected by conflict. Through emergency aid, we ensure families have access to food, medical, and other essential supplies. Our commitment to education includes rebuilding schools and creating learning opportunities for children, while also supporting orphanages that care for the most vulnerable. We invest in agriculture projects to enhance food security and promote self-sufficiency. To strengthen the Christian community, we facilitate small business development, empowering individuals to rebuild their livelihoods. Additionally, we contribute to infrastructure development and provide healthcare and mental health services to support long-term recovery. Our mission is to restore stability and hope, enabling Syrians to rebuild their lives in their own homeland.
