Iraq

A Nation Rebuilding Amidst Crisis

Iraq continues to recover from years of conflict, terrorism, and sectarian violence, which have left deep scars on its population. Over 1.5 million Iraqis remain displaced, and 2.7 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. The ISIS insurgency, ongoing conflicts, and regional instability have devastated communities and disrupted vital services, with over 1.3 million children lacking access to basic education and healthcare. Nearly 4 million Iraqis face food insecurity, and the country grapples with a fragile economy in the wake of prolonged instability.

In Northern Iraq, particularly in the Nineveh and Dohuk regions, the effects of past ISIS occupation are still visible. Communities—especially Yazidis, Christians, and other minority groups—suffer from damaged infrastructure, destroyed homes, and a lack of livelihood opportunities. Many displaced families have not yet returned home due to insecurity and poor living conditions. Vulnerable populations continue to face trauma, unemployment, and limited access to essential services, deepening the humanitarian crisis in these already fragile areas.

Our Response

Our team is currently in Iraq, providing:

  • Emergency relief
  • Education infrastructure
  • Education of children and vulnerable women
  • Healthcare
  • Shelter to those in need
  • Sustainable agriculture projects
  • Vocational training and economic development programs
  • Victim rescues

We are actively engaged in Iraq and Northern Iraq, providing both immediate relief and long-term solutions to support vulnerable communities. Through emergency aid, we offer critical assistance to families affected by conflict and displacement. Our efforts in education focus on building infrastructure and ensuring that children and vulnerable women have access to quality learning opportunities. We also strengthen healthcare services, providing essential medical support to those in need. By offering shelter, we help displaced individuals regain stability and security. Our sustainable agriculture projects equip communities with the tools and knowledge to enhance food security, while vocational training and economic development programs empower individuals to rebuild their lives and create lasting opportunities. Through these initiatives, we strive to restore hope and resilience in Iraq’s most affected regions.
