A Nation in Crisis

Nigeria is facing one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises, with 90% of all Christians killed globally each year losing their lives there, driven by conflict and terrorism. The Boko Haram insurgency, armed conflicts, and banditry have displaced over 3.6 million people, with 8.3 million in urgent need of assistance. More than 4.4 million Nigerians are experiencing food insecurity, and 2.2 million children suffer from severe acute malnutrition. The crisis has also disrupted education, leaving over 1.5 million children out of school, while healthcare services remain inaccessible for millions due to ongoing violence and instability.

2025 Initiatives:

  • Sewing School (January 2025 - Present): Established a sewing school to train young women in tailoring. We provided 8 sewing machines to train the first round of girls, giving them not only the training but also the tools to succeed
    • Jummai Bulus (Kimakpa Village): ”Losing my father was an indescribable loss that left my family struggling to make ends meet. I never imagined I would have the chance to return to school or learn a trade. Thanks to The Blessing Projects, my tuition is covered, and I am now learning the art of sewing. Receiving a sewing machine would be a dream come true, enabling me to start a small business and support my mother. I feel a glimmer of hope once again.”
  • Chicken Farming (February 2025 - Present): We have empowered 100 young girls and children of widowed mothers from 10 vulnerable communities through hands-on training in poultry farming. We provided each of them with 5 chicks to raise and use for egg production to feed themselves and their families, and sell the remainder to produce income.
  • Education Sponsorship (March 2025 - Present): We are sponsoring 100 women, who had been denied access to higher education, to pursue the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) through the National Teachers Institute (NTI) Miango Study Centre, marking a pivotal step toward breaking the cycle of marginalization.
  • Agriculture Project (April 2025 - Present): We secured access to over 250 acres of farmland. Through the generosity of our donors, we have cultivated this land and equipped 135 widows with: land access, which our team plowed and prepared for cultivation, training and support, seeds, fertilizers and herbicides, and essential farming tools. This project aims to help feed over 2,300 people.
